Our mission

Cambium’s mission is to train, innovate and collaborate to improve citizen protection.

This next-generation campus in the northeastern French town of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges includes several entities on one site.

Our goal? To create a shared skills and innovation foundation to support national security, regional resilience and digital sovereignty.

Our vision

“Cambium” is the word used to describe the cellular layer within trees that manages how they grow and adapt to their environment.

Much like this living structure, the Cambium project adapts to modern-day challenges by delivering a comprehensive approach to security: one that is collaborative, agile and focused on innovation.

With deep roots in a high-potential region, Cambium is positioning itself as a pivotal stakeholder on a regional, national and European level that can devise actionable solutions to contemporary challenges and threats.

An independent, sustainable campus

Nestled in the Vosges mountains, Cambium has been designed as a resilient, ecofriendly campus.

The campus is built around a strategy of energy self-sufficiency.

Our approach enables us to pursue greater energy and land efficiency by focusing on three key principles: energy conservation, energy efficiency and renewable energy.
